This is how this artist from the Historic Raluy Circus defines himself :

I'm Davis Vassallo. My grandfather was a clown. My father is a clown. And I'm a clown too.

Since my childhood I felt like I was a clown. I dreamed that working in the ring would be as funny as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton or the Italian master of comedy, Totò.

So my father taught me to walk on a rope, to play musical instruments, to do somersaults. He explained to me how to be funny every day, how to be a clown. I have had a lot of experiences in my family's circus.

When I was fifteen, my father decided I was ready to work abroad, and I started in England with Billy Smart. A few years later, my dreams came true: I began performing in the ring of the fascinating old-fashioned circus "Il Florilegio." In recent years, I have worked in Norway (with Cirkus Arnardo), Belgium, Germany, and Italy for circuses and television programs.

I'm happy to be a clown! Clowning is fun, it's a privilege, it's a dream. And the dream is the most beautiful job in the world.
