Vilanova City Council denies permission for the Circ Històric Raluy to perform despite the agreement with the Culture Department
The artists of the Circ Històric Raluy, who have been stranded in Vilanova i la Geltrú since yesterday, will remain in this Garraf town until Sunday, but will not be performing and will instead be carrying out maintenance work on the circus. The Vilanova City Council has decided to deny the company permission to perform, despite assurances from the Culture Department weeks ago that they would be authorized to perform between March 9th and 19th.

Artists and caravans of the Circ Històric Raluy, blocked in Vilanova i la Geltrú
Around fifty artists from Raluy and about forty circus caravans have been blocked since early this afternoon on some land on Ronda Europa in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), in the northern part of the city, after a call from the Local Police warned them that they could not set up in Baix a Mar, the square where Raluy had planned to set up its tent today and perform from this Thursday until Sunday, March 19.
