Confined: The story of 100 testimonies from the Covid-19 quarantine , coordinated by journalist Josep Maria Vallès, is a collaborative work that collects the experiences of one hundred people during the lockdown imposed by the pandemic in 2020. Published by Viena Edicions, the book is presented as a valuable social document that reflects the diversity of experiences lived in an exceptional period of recent history.

The genesis of Confinats was spontaneous: Vallès, at the beginning of the lockdown, started writing a personal diary on his blog. Soon, realizing that his individual experience could be enriched by other voices, he launched a call on social media inviting people to share their stories of how they were experiencing confinement. The response was immediate and diverse, with 99 people from different backgrounds—from students to retirees, including doctors, artists, and journalists—contributing their reflections, fears, and lessons learned.

The contributors include notable figures such as Ethics professor Victòria Camps, actor Francesc Orella, and the president of the Spanish Medical Association, Jaume Padrós. The book concludes with an interview with the author's daughter, a nurse in the Emergency Department at Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell, offering a direct perspective from the front lines of healthcare.

With a prologue by journalist Xavier Bosch and an epilogue by former president Quim Torra, Confinats not only documents a period in history but also donates its proceeds to the Fundació de la Marató de TV3, demonstrating a commitment to solidarity. It is essential reading for understanding the diverse experiences during lockdown and reflecting on how the pandemic uniquely affected each individual.
