After two years, the Raluy Historic Circus was scheduled to visit the city of Vic in the coming days. During its last two tours, the prestigious Catalan company had been unable to perform in the capital of Osona due to the city council's refusal to provide space for the circus. Finally, the Raluy organization found a private space next to the Sucre parking lot and intended to open on Friday, September 20th.
However, due to the concerts planned on the Sucre esplanade as part of the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic , the city council has decided not to grant the activity license to Raluy to avoid the simultaneous occurrence of the events.
From the Raluy Historic Circus, we want to inform you that we understand the mobility concerns raised by the city council, and therefore we will be postponing our arrival in the city . We will contact all customers to arrange for exchanges or refunds for tickets to the canceled performances of the first week.
At the same time, we are saddened to see that a space like the Sucre parking lot , which has been denied to us under the argument of the need for parking in the city , is used without any problem for an event of equal or greater magnitude , without necessarily having more cultural relevance.
Despite this setback, we are pleased to announce that the Raluy Historical Circus will premiere in Vic on Thursday, September 26th , and will offer regular performances until Sunday, October 6th . We will continue working to ensure that the many fans of the Raluy Historical Circus in Vic can continue to enjoy our new productions, both now and in the future.
