El Historical Raluy has been awarded the Zirkólika Award 2011 for the best tent show at the gala held at the Moll de la Fusta in Barcelona On December 18, the traditional location of the circus at christmas.
The following artists participated in the artistic form of the event: Cia. Eia (portés acrobàtics); Cia. Los Galindos (pallasso excèntric); Cia. Trifaldó (acrobatics, juggling and comic scale); Kimberley and Jillian Raluy (meteors), the well-known Raluy Sisters; Balagans (roda Cyr); Raluy Circus (pol dance); Guillem, Albà (clown/presenter); Musicians: Marc Vila and Cristiano Della Monica.
Zirkólika Award Categories
The Zirkólika Award has 10 categories:
- El award for the best street circus show It is awarded to the best outdoor show, whether static or traveling.
- El award for the best indoor circus show It is awarded to the best show performed in a closed space with limited capacity.
- El award for the best tent circus show It is awarded to the best show performed under a circus tent.
- El award for the best circus act It is awarded to the best circus act lasting no more than 20 minutes. This act may be part of a show that is eligible for an award in another category.
- El award for the best staging of a circus show It is awarded for the best scenery, costumes or lighting of a circus show.
- El award for best original music for a circus show It is awarded to the best original music from a circus show.
- El award for best circus director It is awarded to the best director or team of directors of a circus show.
- El Award for the best initiative for the projection of the circus in Catalonia It is awarded to the best initiative, of any kind, that has contributed to the promotion of the circus in Catalonia. This award includes local and international initiatives, as well as activities related to circus management, production, or theory.
- El award for best new artist and/or company It is awarded to the first show of a company in which all its members have recently begun their careers as professionals.
- El special award of the gala It is awarded to the best circus act among all the nominees that receives the most votes among those attending the awards ceremony.
